Storage Space Assures Opportunities for All Libby Students

Roughly 50-60 students take woodworking each semester at Libby Middle High School. For students interested in trades, woodworking classes are an important alternative to electives that often lack practical hands-on instruction. Yet, despite their importance, Libby Middle High School’s woodworking courses were at risk of being cancelled due to an issue with the wood shop’s ceiling storage area, which was deemed unsafe and left the school unable to buy wood in bulk. The principal of Libby Middle High School had a solution but needed help, so he reached out to LOR. LOR’s funding will help the school buy two heavy-duty lumber storage racks with shelving, which the principal and woodworking teacher have volunteered to install.
