Student Achievement Initiative Encourages Academic Growth at Questa Elementary

  • Local Champion: Questa Independent School District
  • Date Funded: October 8, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $5,000

Questa Elementary students who struggle academically or with attendance often lack the motivation and support needed to make consistent progress, while teachers have limited resources to recognize and encourage their achievements. Recognizing the connection between attendance and academic success, elementary school staff reached out to LOR with a solution: launch a teacher-led student achievement initiative focused on measurable improvements in reading, math, and attendance. LOR’s funding will help purchase interactive board games, educational game subscriptions, achievement certificates, learning materials, and supplies for milestone celebrations. Teachers will set individual growth goals, track student progress, and recognize achievements at every level, ensuring that students who need encouragement most have meaningful opportunities to succeed and stay engaged throughout the school year.
