LOR is an exciting and dynamic place to work. We work hard and offer a generous benefits package that reflects the foundation’s values.
Weiser Community Officer
LOR community officers live and work locally in Mountain West communities, and the foundation is hiring a new position in Weiser, Idaho. The work is fast-paced, requiring quick thinking and local roots. Community officers listen for opportunities to improve livability in their communities, define and scope potential projects, and deliver all kinds of resources—including funding—that support community-driven priorities. The ideal candidate comes to LOR with deep community connections, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for problem solving. This full-time role requires a caring and curious disposition to understand community needs from different perspectives and strong communication skills to engage people from all backgrounds.
LOR photo ambassadors focus their lenses on the people, places, and events that make their communities special. Contracted on a rolling basis in the communities where LOR works (Taos, Lander, Cortez, Monte Vista, and Libby), photo ambassadors are local photographers interested in developing their multimedia skills, sharing images with a new audience, and getting paid to do it. The part-time role—ambassadors work on short-term contracts—is ideal for photographers who are passionate about their communities, eager to highlight rural life from a local perspective, and looking to improve their craft.
