Professional Development Program Brings High-Quality Training to Questa Teachers

  • Local Champion: Questa Independent School District
  • Date Funded: August 20, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Due to limited access to high-quality professional development, Questa educators sometimes lack the latest tools and strategies needed to meet their students’ evolving needs. Recognizing how this shortage was affecting teacher effectiveness and morale, school administrators reached out to LOR with a plan to bring professional development directly to their staff.

With LOR’s funding, the Questa Independent School District will engage professional trainers from the surrounding area and compensate local teachers with existing expertise to lead workshops on topics such as instructional strategies, technology integration, social-emotional learning, and community engagement. These locally delivered sessions will equip educators with the skills and resources they need to better serve their students—without the added burden of traveling out of town for training.
