New Website Helps Cortez Parents Connect Kids to Activities

  • Local Champion: Cortez Area Youth Activity Center
  • Date Funded: August 19, 2022
  • Grant Amount: $5,000

There is no central location in Cortez for parents to find information about youth activities for their children—meaning parents often miss registration deadlines and can’t easily plan financially for activities because information about costs isn’t readily available. To address that problem, the Cortez-Area Youth Activities Center (CAYAC) brought forward a potential solution: build an interactive website with a filterable database of all youth activities. With support from LOR, CAYAC will hire a developer to create a website that will serve as a clearinghouse for all youth programming options in the Cortez area.
