Track Equipment Brings New Competitions to Weiser

  • Local Champion: Weiser High School Athletics
  • Date Funded: March 18, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Weiser High School recently built a new track after their previous facility became too unsafe to use, but the school lacks the essential equipment like hurdles, starting blocks, and timing systems it needs to host home meets. One track and field coach wanted to host regional competitions and expand local participation, so he reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Weiser High School purchase starting blocks, long jump covers, a timing clock, hurdles, and equipment carts for the new track facility. The equipment will allow Weiser to host large invitational meets and district championships at home, bringing visiting teams and families to town while giving student-athletes the ability to compete on their own field.
