Kitchen Upgrades Help Grace’s Kitchen Serve More Cortez Families

Grace’s Kitchen serves Cortez residents free hot meals for lunch three days each week, but the soup kitchen’s outdated plumbing and electrical systems have created bottlenecks and safety concerns just as demand has grown. Three volunteers recognized that the kitchen’s infrastructure couldn’t keep pace with the increasing community need, so they reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Grace’s Kitchen update its plumbing drainage and install new sinks and a new electrical pull-down outlet to service the central kitchen work table. The improvements will enable volunteers to work more efficiently and accommodate the growing number of families who rely on these essential services.
