New Office Equipment Helps Lander Free Medical Clinic Open its Doors

  • Local Champion: Lander Free Medical Clinic
  • Date Funded: May 27, 2022
  • Grant Amount: $5,500

Nearly 15 percent of Lander residents do not have health insurance, meaning they only receive medical treatment at the emergency room in crisis situations. Last fall, one Lander resident sought to address that problem by launching the Lander Free Medical Clinic, a first-of-its-kind service in Fremont County that will provide free medical care to residents in need. The clinic will operate out of two rooms at the Trinity Episcopal Church, but it still needs office equipment (computers, secure filing cabinets, monitors, and more). With support from LOR, the clinic will be able to purchase that equipment and open its doors to the community.
