Modern Track and Field Equipment Opens Collegiate Opportunities for Libby Student-Athletes

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: September 18, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $10,000

Student-athletes at Libby Middle High School train and compete with track and field equipment that is more than 30 years old, creating safety concerns and limiting the opportunities students have to pursue collegiate athletics. With an easy solution, the school’s gym teacher reached out to LOR with his idea: purchase updated equipment. LOR’s funding will help Libby Middle High School purchase javelins and roll-out runways for the long jump, giving student-athletes a chance to train and compete at a level that opens collegiate opportunities.
