Furniture Expands Local Ag Meetings in Cortez

  • Local Champion: Montezuma County Extension Office
  • Date Funded: April 28, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $5,955

Montezuma County CSU Extension hosts 4-H meetings, agricultural gatherings, and community trainings in its large meeting room. But the furniture is so old and heavy that it’s difficult to rearrange and often there aren’t enough seats for everyone, limiting the events the free space can host. Hoping to create an improved community venue for Cortez’s agricultural community, extension staff reached out to LOR with an solution. LOR’s funding will help Montezuma County CSU Extension purchase stackable chairs, tables, and a presenter lectern, enabling more Cortez ag groups to gather and collaborate.
