Free School Supplies Ease Financial Burden for Questa Families

  • Local Champion: Living Word Ministries
  • Date Funded: June 27, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $3,020

As food, housing, and transportation costs continue to rise, many Questa families cannot afford to purchase all the items on their children’s school supply lists. A local pastor approached LOR with an idea to solve this problem: purchase supplies for K-12 students that families can pick up from the church at no cost.

LOR’s funding will allow Living Word Ministries to purchase materials designated by the school district for up to 500 students and will cover the costs of advertising the free supplies on flyers and in the local newspaper in advance of the new school year.
