Free Ceramics Workshops Offer Opportunities for Artistic Expression in Questa

  • Local Champion: Questa Creative Council
  • Date Funded: September 17, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $2,500

There are limited educational opportunities in the arts in Questa. So it’s unsurprising that since the Questa Creative Council launched Ceramic Café in 2023, the free drop-in class has steadily grown in popularity. The founder was eager to offer workshops to even more residents, so she reached out to LOR with an idea: purchase supplies that would enable the expansion of the current class while keeping the cost to participate low and collaborate with local after-school programs to bring Ceramic Café to more young people.

LOR’s support will fund materials like clay, glaze, banding wheels, rollers, and cutters, as well as cover the cost of running electrical to an on-site kiln, helping to provide more opportunities in the arts for all!
