Art Supplies Give Libby’s Central School Students a Creative Foundation

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: May 27, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $9,932

The Libby Central Charter School has nearly tripled its enrollment since 2022, but as a new charter school it lacks dedicated art funding, leaving the art teacher to cover program costs out of pocket. Without demonstrating viability and student impact, the school cannot qualify for ongoing state art funding—making this a critical moment for the program. The school’s art teacher wanted to secure foundational supplies and build the evidence needed for state support, so she reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the Libby Central Charter School purchase woodworking, leatherworking, mosaic, jewelry, and other art supplies and equipment. The materials will enable the school to deliver a structured art curriculum to its growing student body, securing a sustainable future for the program.
