Small Upgrades Make a Big Difference in a Taos Classroom

  • Local Champion: A Taos Resident
  • Date Funded: September 30, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $580

The classroom space for Taos High School seniors has a harsh institutional feel—including lots of fluorescent light and very few amenities to create a calm, relaxing environment. One teacher thought a few small upgrades could help make his classroom more engaging, including light covers, a bluetooth radio, shade panels, a literature organizer, and more. Funding from the LOR Foundation was used to purchase these supplies and create a more professional and less daunting learning environment.
