New Trailer and Equipment Keep Libby Habitat Volunteers in Motion

  • Local Champion: Kootenai Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity
  • Date Funded: April 21, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $14,394

Volunteers with Kootenai Valley Partners (KVP) Habitat for Humanity work on projects in many different parts of Libby, which puts a strain on volunteers to charge, store, and transport equipment around the community. Moreover, the organization does not get any financial assistance from the national chapter of Habitat for Humanity, meaning they must raise their own funds to purchase equipment. With this in mind, staff from KVP Habitat for Humanity reached out to the LOR Foundation with an idea for solving their transportation and storage woes. LOR helped the organization purchase an enclosed trailer as well as high-quality equipment including a generator that will make their work more efficient and help them serve more Libby residents.
