Listening Sessions Amplify Community Voices in Questa

Questa businesses and nonprofits often feel unheard. Without intentional spaces to share their challenges and stories, their perspectives get missed, leaving the community without a true and diverse representation of local voices.

When the local newspaper’s sales director recognized how this gap affected both content relevance and community trust, she had an idea: create structured listening sessions where organizations could speak openly about their needs and priorities.

LOR’s funding helped Questa del Rio News host three listening luncheons, bringing together local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations to share what content they felt would best advance community engagement and education. These sessions support the goal of ensuring the newspaper publishes stories that accurately reflect community needs while also offering opportunities to spark collaboration among organizations working to support Questa.
