Lights Brighten Performances at Cortez’s Lamp Post Creative Learning Center

Cortez musicians, actors, and performers have a new community space to share their talents, but limited stage lighting made it difficult to create dynamic, professional-quality productions. After hosting a holiday concert and an adult theatre production with a 25-member cast, one of Lamp Post Creative Learning Center’s co-leaders had an idea to improve the experience for both performers and audiences. LOR’s funding helped Lamp Post purchase two moving stage lights that add color, texture, and movement to performances. The new lighting has already enhanced productions and will continue to elevate the performing arts in Cortez for years to come.
