Office Equipment Supports Growing Voter Turnout in Libby and Lincoln County

  • Local Champion: Lincoln County Elections Office
  • Date Funded: December 3, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,368

Lincoln County’s voter registration has surged 67.5% since 2020—from approximately 8,000 to over 13,400 registered voters—inundating local election officials. The problem is Lincoln County’s elections office lacks the workspace to accommodate the growing number of volunteers needed to serve northwest Montana. One county staff member wanted to ensure volunteers could work comfortably and securely as the county and communities like Libby continue to grow, so she reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Lincoln County purchase three locking desks with power outlets for the elections office. The equipment will enable volunteers to process voter registrations and count ballots more efficiently, reducing wait times and ensuring every vote in Lincoln County is counted accurately.
