Lander Valley High School Expands Photography Program

In Lander, photography classes at the high school are consistently full, with students asking for more time, more classes, and more options—yet the program lacks the equipment needed to move beyond digital work into analog photography. When an art teacher and his student son recognized how many of their peers wanted to explore film-based photography in depth, they reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help Lander Valley High School purchase 3 Intrepid 4×5 View Cameras, lenses, lens boards, film holders, Fresnel screens, film, developer chemicals, trays, and red lights. With this equipment, students will gain hands-on experience not only capturing images with large format cameras but also developing film—giving them access to the full range of photographic possibilities and expanding the program to meet the demand that has been building in Lander’s classrooms.
