Firefighting Gear Prepares the Next Generation of Weiser First Responders

  • Local Champion: Weiser Area Rural Fire District
  • Date Funded: June 22, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $9,530

The Weiser Area Rural Fire District’s new youth program lacks the safety and training equipment local teens need to fully participate in hands-on instruction. Hoping to purchase junior-sized gear but without the funds to cover it, one local firefighter reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help the Weiser Area Rural Fire District purchase helmets, leather fronts, cadet badges, flashlights, hand tools, gear bags, and program shirts for participants. The new equipment will keep Weiser youth safe during training, giving them a structured path toward careers and volunteer service in fire and emergency response.
