Community Space Strengthens Wellness and Intergenerational Connection in Questa

  • Local Champion: VFW 7688
  • Date Funded: December 2, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,487

Many Questa residents—including veterans, elders, and teenslack access to basic wellness resources and community spaces where they can prioritize their health, learn life skills, and build social connections. When VFW members saw an opportunity to transform their facility into a multi-generational community hub, they developed a plan to create an inclusive space serving residents of all ages.

LOR’s funding helped VFW Post 7688 purchase wellness equipment, including yoga mats, exercise gear, and sewing machines, as well as essential appliances such as a washer, dryer, and stove to support daily living needs. This transformed space now provides Questa residents with opportunities for healthy exercise, practical skill-building, and intergenerational connection in a safe, welcoming community environment.
