Arts and Recreation Materials Support Summer Camp Expansion in Taos

  • Local Champion: Field Institute of Taos
  • Date Funded: June 10, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $5,498

More Taos families are seeking summer enrichment opportunities that offer safe, engaging experiences for children, driving demand for expanded programming across the district. As TEC Community Summer Camp prepared to open a third location, a team member at the Field Institute of Taos reached out to LOR with an idea to support the expansion: purchasing classroom, art, and recreational supplies that will enable TEC to serve approximately 185 students with engaging summer learning experiences. With support from LOR, TEC Community Summer Camp will purchase these materials for use across three local elementary school sites, retaining durable items for future summer programming or donating them to participating school classrooms, extending the benefit beyond the camp itself. This investment strengthens summer enrichment opportunities and supports wraparound services for Taos families and students.
