A Workshop Helps Taos Athletes Navigate the NCAA Process

  • Local Champion: The Baseball School Incorporated
  • Date Funded: May 27, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $3,250

Taos student athletes face barriers to college recruitment, often missing out on important guidance and information about scholarship opportunities. The founder of The School of Baseball saw a pressing need to help more Taos student athletes pursue higher education and collegiate athletics, so he reached out to LOR with a solution: host a free half-day recruiting workshop. LOR’s funding will help The School of Baseball hire recruiting experts—including a former NCAA coach, social media consultant, and former college athlete—and purchase supplies for the workshop, ensuring more Taos students can successfully further their academic and athletic careers.
