A Trailer Keeps Libby’s Fundraising Hot Dog Cart Serving

Nonprofits and volunteer groups across Libby rely on a shared hot dog cart for events and fundraisers, but the trailer it sits on has shown wear from frequent use, creating safety concerns for the volunteers who transport and operate it. One staff member with Lincoln County Unite for Youth recognized this growing hazard, so she reached out to LOR with a solution: a new trailer with safety tie-downs and storage bins. LOR’s funding will help Lincoln County Unite for Youth purchase a tandem axle trailer with ramp guides, two side-mount storage boxes with locks, and other supplies to fully outfit the trailer for community events. The new trailer will allow local organizations like the Rotary Club of Kootenai Valley and Spring Up Libby to maintain their fundraising while protecting the volunteers who keep this shared resource running.
