A Microphone Upgrade Keeps Libby’s Events Center Stage-Ready

  • Local Champion: Kootenai Heritage Council, Inc
  • Date Funded: June 11, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $3,000

The Libby Memorial Events Center hosts more than 50 community events each year, but its wireless microphone system operates on frequencies now prohibited by the FCC, risking the disruption of every event it hosts. One volunteer with the Kootenai Heritage Council, which operates the venue, wanted to ensure community events could continue without interruption, so he reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the Libby Memorial Events Center purchase four compliant wireless microphone systems with receivers, body packs, and boom mics. The new equipment will restore reliable audio service to Libby’s primary community venue, preserving both the facility and the programming residents depend on.
