A Libby Conference Room Transforms into a Free Community Meeting Space

As Libby grows, local nonprofits and community groups increasingly need places to gather, but affordable meeting spaces are scarce—especially during daytime hours when most spaces are being utilized for business. One member of the Kootenai Heritage Council saw how this shortage was forcing organizations to choose between expensive rentals or meeting after hours, so he reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the Kootenai Heritage Council transform an underutilized storage room at the Libby Memorial Events Center into a fully furnished conference room, giving community organizations a free professional setting for meetings and training sessions.
