Water Fountains Provide Essential Hydration at Cortez’s Newest Performance Venue

  • Local Champion: Lamp Post Creative Learning Center
  • Date Funded: December 15, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,000

Lamp Post Creative Learning Center, Cortez’s newest performing arts venue, didn’t have drinking water for performers, musicians, and audience members, creating health concerns for the hundreds of people who use the facility each week for rehearsals and events. After a young performer suggested adding water fountains so cast members could refill their bottles during rehearsals, staff at the center ran with the idea. LOR’s funding helped Lamp Post Creative Learning Center purchase and install three water fountains throughout the venue, providing safe drinking water to performers and visitors alike.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Onward! A Legacy Foundation.
