Park and Trail Water Fountains Hydrate Buffalo Residents

  • Local Champion: City of Buffalo
  • Date Funded: October 15, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $15,000

Buffalo’s city parks and downtown trail system draw hundreds of residents and visitors each year, but no drinking water is available anywhere along the route. After noticing this gap while spending time outdoors with her children, a Buffalo resident reached out to LOR with a solution: install two freestanding filtered water fountains with bottle-filling stations. LOR’s funding will help the city of Buffalo purchase and install the fountains. The fountains will give park and trail users a reliable source of clean drinking water, supporting healthy, active time outdoors.
