A Robotic Pool Vacuum Keeps Weiser Swimmers Kicking

Weiser’s public swimming pool has seen a rise in usage, driven by growing high school swim meets. But an aging, gas-powered vacuum system has made it difficult to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the pool. One Weiser Recreation Department staff member recognized that the existing system was not sufficient to keep pace with growing demand, so he reached out to LOR with a solution: a robotic pool vaccum. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase an automated system that scrubs pool floors, walls, and waterlines while filtering debris on a programmed schedule outside of open hours. The new equipment will reduce staff hours, lower energy and chemical costs, and help the facility consistently meet health department standards, ensuring a cleaner, safer facility for all Weiser residents.
