VFW Upgrades Building to Provide Affordable Space for Community Events

For families and other groups in Lander looking for a welcoming and affordable place to host graduation parties, wedding receptions, reunions, and other community gatherings, the options are limited. Veterans at the local VFW had a solution: upgrade the organization’s outdated building and offer it for rent at a fraction of the cost of more expensive venues around town. With LOR funding, the VFW was able to install new flooring and make a number of essential building repairs inside and out. The renovation was a win-win. Not only does the community at-large benefit from access to a new, affordable event venue, but the VFW, which has long sought ways to attract and connect with younger members, now has a more inviting, welcoming gathering space that will better meet the needs of Lander’s newest generation of veterans.
