Testing Resources Help Keep Questa Drinking Water Safe

  • Local Champion: Village Of Questa
  • Date Funded: June 21, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $6,385

Questa’s wastewater treatment facility is essential in providing drinking water to the community, but a broken microscope and an inability to consistently keep mailed samples cold was making it impossible for the staff to accurately monitor and test residents’ water. So, a team member at the plant reached out with a solution: purchase a new microscope that would enable staff to assess water samples in-house and an ice machine that would ensure the facility always has access to the necessary materials when shipping samples out for additional testing. LOR’s funding will cover the cost of these two critical resources that will help the facility continue providing safe, drinkable water in Questa and beyond.
