Shoulder Pads Keep Weiser’s Up-and-Coming Football Players Safe

The city of Weiser’s youth football program serves roughly 85 young athletes, but the shoulder pads protecting them are over 20 years old and nearing expiration. After recreation staff learned that the outdated pads no longer met current safety standards, they reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the Weiser Recreation Department purchase new shoulder pads in a range of sizes to fit all participants. The equipment will protect young athletes in grades three through six, helping them prepare for high school football and learn other essential life skills like teamwork.
