Repairs Keep Weiser’s Ambulance Service Running

  • Local Champion: Washington County Ambulance
  • Date Funded: February 24, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $9,500

The Weiser Ambulance Service struggles to provide emergency care due to critical equipment failures—both ventilators are out of service, stretcher batteries are failing, and one ambulance needs new tires. Dependent on a small percentage of county tax revenue that doesn’t cover operational costs, the ambulance service has not been able to replace the equipment, putting local residents at risk. One staff member reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the Weiser Ambulance District repair ventilators, replace stretcher batteries, and purchase new tires. The equipment will ensure EMTs and paramedics can continue providing life-saving care to the Weiser community for years to come.
