Paper Folder Streamlines Operations for Village of Questa

  • Local Champion: Village of Questa
  • Date Funded: May 11, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $674

The Village of Questa utility clerk spends several hours each month manually folding approximately 900 utility bills—a repetitive task that limits staff capacity for higher-priority administrative and customer service responsibilities. During a routine office visit, village officials observed this time-intensive process and identified an opportunity to improve efficiency, prompting them to reach out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help the Village of Questa purchase an automatic paper-folding machine to streamline monthly bill preparation. This equipment will reduce processing time from several hours to minutes, allowing the utility clerk to focus on customer service, billing accuracy, and other essential administrative duties that strengthen overall municipal operations.
