Local Volunteer Makes Lander Youth Healthy, Allergen-Free Sunday Meals

  • Local Champion: Covenant Presbyterian Church
  • Date Funded: October 21, 2021
  • Grant Amount: $1,020

Children who attend the Sunday evening youth group at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lander often arrive hungry—and several kids have food allergies. To address this problem, a local volunteer proposed creating a Sunday dinner program in which kids from across the community could have a cost- and allergen-free meal. LOR’s funding helped purchase a crock pot and healthy meals for up to 20 Lander kids each Sunday for six months.
