A Health Screening Machine Puts Prevention Within Reach for Weiser Residents

Many Weiser residents skip annual checkups or miss preventive screenings due to cost, timing, or transportation barriers, leading to delayed diagnoses and poorer health outcomes. Staff with the Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation recognized that free screenings at community events could help to solve the problem, so they reached out to LOR with their idea. LOR’s funding will help the Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation purchase a portable body composition analyzer that measures body fat, muscle mass, hydration levels, and other health indicators. Hospital staff will use the equipment to offer screenings at the Weiser Senior Center and community events, helping residents catch health risks early and connect with local providers.
