A Digital Sign Improves Cortez Family Engagement

  • Local Champion: Montezuma-Cortez School District RE-1
  • Date Funded: March 27, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $29,000

Many Montezuma-Cortez Middle School parents struggle to stay informed about school activities and events because the school’s current digital communication platform requires regular internet access. One school staff member wanted to ensure that parents were staying informed and engaged, so he reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Montezuma-Cortez Middle School purchase and install a digital sign that will display celebrations, upcoming events, and important announcements at the main student drop-off area, ensuring families can stay connected with their students, the school, and the Cortez community.
