A Cover Protects Weiser’s Outdoor Exercise Equipment

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: June 9, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,565

Weiser residents regularly use the outdoor exercise equipment at City Park, but extreme heat makes the equipment too hot to touch in summer while rain and snow create unsafe conditions during other seasons. Staff with the city of Weiser heard consistent concerns about weather limiting access to this important health resource, so they reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase framing and roofing materials to build a cover for the exercise area, allowing residents of all ages to exercise safely year-round while also extending the lifespan of the equipment.
