Women’s Recovery Home Furnishings Support Sobriety in Cortez

  • Local Champion: Silver Lining Recovery Homes
  • Date Funded: April 30, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $15,194

Without access to safe, supportive housing, many Cortez women completing substance use treatment face significant barriers to maintaining their sobriety and rebuilding their lives. After starting Cortez’s first sober living house—which was limited to men—the founder of Silver Lining Recovery Homes had the idea to launch a women’s sober living facility. After securing a location ahead of schedule, she need to quickly prepare the space to open. LOR’s funding helped Silver Lining Recovery Homes purchase essential furnishings and household items—from beds and kitchen supplies to living room furniture—creating a welcoming, stable environment during this critical transition period.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Piñon Project.
