New Trainings Support Cortez Teachers By Battling Burnout

  • Local Champion: A Cortez local
  • Date Funded: December 16, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $8,080

Cortez teachers and administrators often deal with demands that go beyond the basics of curriculum and instruction, and those demands can lead to low teacher satisfaction and burnout. A retired educator who has been volunteering with the Montezuma-Cortez RE-1 School District was aware of this problem and began developing a solution: creating and conducting trainings to help Cortez-area teachers with classroom management and renew their passion. With LOR’s support, three seminars will be hosted in 2025 that offer effective techniques for behavior modification in the classroom.
