Training Investments Enhance Support for Questa Learners

  • Local Champion: Red River Valley Charter School
  • Date Funded: December 3, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $9,613

Students and teachers at Red River Valley Charter School lack consistent professional development opportunities, limiting staff’s ability to address student needs and leaving parents without strategies for supporting learning and behavior at home. Recognizing how this gap affected the collaborative support network essential for student success—and noting that the school serves a student body that is over 60% from Questa—staff reached out to LOR with a solution: hire professional trainers to provide CPR certification, mental health first aid, and Love and Logic discipline workshops for both staff and parents.

LOR’s support will enable the school to provide these trainings, building a more unified approach to student support by giving educators and families a shared language and practical skills to respond to physical emergencies, recognize mental health concerns, and foster positive behavior across school and home environments.
