Additional Equipment Keeps the Libby Middle High School Choir Singing

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: November 9, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $27,268

In the 600-student Libby High School, participation in choir has grown to more than 100 students in recent years. That’s a good problem to have, but still a problem since the equipment (risers, microphones, etc.) is maxed out and some of the students are left with no uniforms for performances. A freshman at the high school reached out to LOR on behalf of the choir and worked with school staff to propose a solution that LOR could help with: purchase additional equipment and uniforms that would sustain the choir—which provides an important community with concerts at places like the Libby Care Center—for years to come. LOR’s funding will support the purchase of additional risers, uniforms and sound equipment.
