Smart Boards at Libby Elementary Prepare Kids For The Future

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: September 5, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $24,800

Elementary school students in Libby lack access to technology that would connect them with enhanced learning and work-readiness skills. To address that knowledge gap, school staff hoped to make their classrooms more collaborative, and interactive smart boards would play a large role in accomplishing those goals. Smart boards are a significant investment, so the district reached out to the LOR Foundation for help enhancing fourth grade classrooms. Fourth graders are at a pivotal point in their development, and with LOR’s support the school district was able to purchase four interactive display screens that will help students and teachers collaborate and prepare for the technology they’ll encounter in future classrooms.
