Shelving and Storage Keep a Weiser Coat Drive Running

Every year Weiser’s Church of Christ works with other local churches to give away more than 300 coats and hoodies to residents, a number that continues to grow. The problem is the program lacks the equipment volunteers need to efficiently store, organize, and distribute the donated coats; the program’s current coat bins are overloaded and often stacked three high, making them heavy and difficult to access. One volunteer with the church reached out to LOR with the idea to buy new storage supplies to keep the program up and running. LOR’s funding will help Church of Christ purchase new shelves and bins so that volunteers can focus on their most important work—helping the residents of Weiser.
