Security Upgrades Protect Libby Students

  • Local Champion: Kootenai Valley Christian School
  • Date Funded: November 14, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $2,192

Kootenai Valley Christian School recently opened a second campus for high school students to accommodate the school’s growth, but the new building’s main office lacks security measures to keep students and staff safe. Without a direct view or remote control, staff must physically approach the door to verify visitors and grant access, creating security gaps during busy times. The school’s secretary wanted to implement basic security measures that would protect students and teachers, so she reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Kootenai Valley Christian School install a viewing window and automated door locks. The upgrades will allow staff to visually screen visitors and remotely control building access, allowing students and teachers to focus on learning.
