Repair Tools Keep the Water Flowing in Questa

  • Local Champion: Village Of Questa
  • Date Funded: February 5, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $8,781

For years, Questa’s Public Works Department operated without the tools they needed to repair and replace water lines efficiently, creating safety concerns for city employees, local EMS and Fire Department teams, and the residents they serve. A Village employee contacted LOR with a solution: purchase equipment that identifies leaks and reduces repair time, cutting down on long-term damage to the water supply and helping to ensure the town’s first responders have reliable access to the water that powers their lifesaving equipment. LOR’s funding will enable the city to purchase the compressors, generators, leak locators, and pumps needed to keep the water flowing in Questa and the surrounding communities.
