An Outdoor Water Fountain Keeps Cortez Flowing

The Cortez Farmers Market recently relocated to the parking lot of Children’s Kiva Montessori School, but the new location has no outdoor drinking water available on site. The head of school recognized the risks it posed to residents during hot weather, so she reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help Children’s Kiva Montessori School purchase and install an outdoor bottle-filling station and water fountain. The installation will provide free, accessible drinking water to everyone—including market shoppers, nearby park visitors, students, and community members who lack other options.
