Reflective Vests Protect Weiser’s Four-Legged Officers

  • Local Champion: Weiser City Police Department
  • Date Funded: September 30, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $990

The Weiser Police Department’s K-9 units play a vital role in keeping the growing community safe. The department’s dogs risk their health and lives every time they are on duty, but over time their protective gear has become worn and outdated, leaving them without the proper safety equipment they need while working. One staff member with the Weiser Police Department reached out to LOR with a solution: buy new reflective vests and other safety supplies. LOR’s funding will help the Weiser Police Department purchase vests, collars, leads, and other protective equipment, ensuring Weiser’s four-legged officers can safely serve alongside their human partners.
