Chair Yoga Supports the Health and Well-Being of Buffalo Seniors

  • Local Champion: Buffalo Senior Center
  • Date Funded: August 19, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $5,312

Chair yoga at the Buffalo Senior Center has become one of the center’s most sought-after programs, but growing attendance has outpaced the space and equipment available, leaving many seniors without a seat. One senior center staff member wanted to make sure no one was turned away, so she reached out to LOR with a simple solution: supplies for more than a dozen additional participants. LOR’s funding will help the Buffalo Senior Center purchase microphones, heavy-duty padded chairs, ankle weights, balance pads, and other equipment. The additions will allow more seniors to attend and give the center the capacity to expand to additional class days as demand grows, supporting the health and well-being of Buffalo seniors.
