Play Equipment Enhances Learning for Weiser Preschoolers

  • Local Champion: Weiser Christian Church
  • Date Funded: March 27, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $3,500

Many Weiser families rely on affordable preschool options to prepare their children for kindergarten, but local programs often lack the resources to create optimal learning environments. Observing how limited play materials were restricting development at the Weiser Christian Church’s community preschool, one dedicated teacher had an idea. LOR’s funding helped the Weiser Christian Church purchase a variety of educational play equipment, including magnetic blocks, outdoor play structures, sensory tables, and other supplies to sharpen fine motor skills. The new equipment will create a more engaging learning atmosphere where Weiser’s preschoolers can develop crucial social, emotional, and cognitive skills through imaginative play.
